Herbal Phentermine Review

Botanical and thermogenic properties are the main contents found in Herbal Phentermine. It should be taken with the good healthy diet and good sleeping habits to get the desired results. Herbal Phentermine increases your metabolism in a healthy way.

Basically the main job that Herbal Phentermine performs is to increase metabolism and burn calories on a regular day to day basis. Less calories means you will be losing weight not gaining it like you used to.

Herbal Phentermine kept me feeling happy and calm all day long. And even though I felt calm and relaxed, I still had more energy than I used to, it was just not a nervous anxious type of energy. It was great, I was able to get out and do more for the first time in years and years. I even wanted to start exercising, that had never happened to me before!

The thermogenic process is a way in which the metabolism process is raised. As this process moves forward the calories are burnt and converted in to energy that is spent throughout the day. This leaves us feeling better and the body feeling stronger.

I used to have to eat a lot of food throughout the day and I was still left feeling lackluster to say the least, but when I started taking Herbal Phentermine that all changed. All of a sudden I was eating only what I needed to and the energy levels in my body were better than ever. I started losing weight almost immediately and with no side effects at all to speak of.

You don’t need a prescription to take it either. Herbal Phentermine works all naturally in raising the level of metabolism right away, you eat less and feel better.

Everyone wants to find the natural alternatives to the drugs handed out at the doctors office. Those chemicals are terrible for your health and that is another reason why Herbal Phentermine is getting to be so popular. The fact that it is all natural is just a bonus, one that assures that there will be no bad side effects for you to suffer through for weight loss.

The Secret You Don't Know About Free Medicine from Pharmaceutical ...

Medical insurance costs are skyrocketing and many places of employment no longer supply medical insurance without a major dip into your pocketbook. The impact of under-insured or uninsured Americans and senior citizens are taking a toll on households across U.S.

I have been without insurance. At one time I had to purchase medicine with a price tag of over $1,900 a month. Because of that time, I was inspired to find out what I could do to help defray the cost of the medicine.

What I discovered is one of the best kept secrets in the medical industry. The secret is that pharmaceutical companies and major pharmaceutical company sponsors provide free prescription medicines to individuals and families that qualify.

For those individuals and families who can’t afford the cost of or the co-payment their prescription medications require, help has been around for years. The first step is to find out who manufactures the prescriptions you are taking.

Once you know the manufacturer, go to their website and download their application or apply online for their program. Some of the pharmaceutical websites and pharmaceutical company sponsors have websites that have the program information easily available.

Other websites you will have to search to find the program. Once you either fill out their application online or downloaded the application, you will in most cases need to get a signed consent form from your doctor to fax or send to the company. Every program has different rules and procedures.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to help you, your family and friend defray a bit of the medical costs from your budget.

Medication That Is Used In The Treatment Of Moderate To Severe Pain

Tramadol, also sold under brand names Ultram and Ultram ER, is a narcotic pain reliever used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain The extended-release (ER) version is used to treat chronic pain that requires 24-hour maintenance. In addition, there may be other uses for this medication.

Before taking Tramadol, it is important to discuss with your doctor whether you have ever been addicted to drugs or alcohol. This is important because Tramadol should not be taken when one is intoxicated or by those who have recently used drugs such as alcohol, other narcotic pain medications, medication for the treatment of depression or anxiety, tranquilizers such as Valium, medicine for the treatment of mental illness such as schizophrenia, or street drugs.

Further, although the risk of seizure is present for all users of Tramadol, this risk may be significantly higher in those who have certain medical conditions. For that reason, it is important that you tell your doctor if you suffer from any of the following conditions: a history of drug abuse, epilepsy or seizure disorder, previous head injury, or a metabolic disorder.

Other disorders that may make Tramadol contraindicated include kidney disease, liver disease, any disorder of the stomach, or a history of depression or mental illness.

If you are pregnant and considering taking Tramadol, it is important to know that the drug is in pregnancy category C. This means that the medication may be harmful to an unborn baby, and it may also cause serious - or even fatal - side effects in a newborn if it is administered to the mother during pregnancy or labor. Note, too, that Tramadol can enter a mother's breast milk and can therefore be harmful to a nursing baby.

Age is a factor in a patient's suitability for Tramadol, too. It should not be given to anyone under 16 years of age, and for those over 65 a lower-than-usual dose may be recommended. Finally, take Tramadol exactly as it has been prescribed. Take it with a full glass of water and do not crush the tablet. You may take it with or without food, but whichever way you choose, be sure to take it the same way every time.

Serevent Side Effects Put Serevent in Top 5 Most Dangerous Drugs

Serevent is an asthma inhalation medication, a bronchodilator, that relaxes the muscles in airways. It is preventative and not effective when taken during an asthma attack.

Possible side effects of Serevent include allergic reactions noted by breathing problems or swelling of the throat, lips, tongue or face, hives, headaches, dizziness, insomnia, tremors, sweating, nausea, and dry mouth. In many cases, Serevent users have an increased risk of dying from asthma related problems especially if they are taking anti-inflammatory medications even though the FDA first approved Serevent to supplement and not replace anti-inflammatory drugs. Furthermore, the FDA did not approve Serevent to treat acute symptoms of asthma, just basic asthma symptoms and COPD (chromic obstructive pulmonary disorder). Then in 2004 the FDA named Serevent among the top five most dangerous prescription drugs on the U.S. market.

If you or a loved one has suffered from the adverse effects of Serevent, then you may be able to file a lawsuit against GlaxoSmithKline, the manufacturer of Serevent. GlaxoSmithKline was instructed by the FDA to put a black box warning on the drug about the potential side effects, but it did not comply and has yet to add the black box warning. This is willful negligence and if it has injured you, then you should be compensated financially to repay your medical expenses, lost wages and physical and emotional suffering.

Heart Burn and Indigestion

There are many people who suffer from the symptoms of heart burn and indigestion. These symptoms may result from the foods we eat, the beverages we drink or our lifestyles, but symptoms of burn heart indigestion may also be related to other medical conditions and chronic symptoms should be reported to your doctor. Choosing a burn heart medication is a choice to be made by you and your doctor. Here is a look at some of the common heart burn medications and the side effects associated with them.

One of the most highly advertised heart burn medications is Prevacid. Prevacid burn heart medication should not be used by persons with liver disease or certain allergies. You have probably seen the commercials and may have heard the side effects associated with this popular treatment for burn heart indigestion. If your heart burn symptoms are mild, the side effects may not seem worth it. Constipation or diarrhea may occur when using Prevacid.

Another common burn heart medication is Pepcid. It should not be used by persons with liver problems, kidney disease, stomach cancer or those with certain allergies. Side effects that may be experienced include headache, constipation, diarrhea or dizziness. There are serious side effects that are rare, but have occurred in persons using Pepcid to treat burn heart indigestion symptoms.

Prilosec is a prescription medication used to treat heart burn symptoms. Users of this burn heart medication may experience constipation, cough, dizziness or back pain.

Any over the counter or prescription burn heart medication may cause unwanted side effects. Only you and your doctor can decide if the benefits outweigh the possible risks. The symptoms of burn heart indigestion may be relieved by certain botanicals or health supplements and possibly prevented changing the diet and lifestyle.

Some people who experience chronic symptoms of burn heart indigestion have other more serious diseases which may not be relieved by changes in eating habits or lifestyle. These include acid reflux disease, hiatal hernia and diseases of the esophagus. In addition, any non-burning chest pain, pressure, heaviness or nausea associated with chest pain could be related to the heart, rather than the throat and stomach. It is important to err on the side of caution whenever chest pain is involved. It could be simple burn heart indigestion or something much more serious.

Can Impotence Be Treatable?

Some experts believe impotence affects between 10 and 15 million American men. In 1985, the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey counted 525,000 doctor office visits for erectile dysfunctions. Impotence usually has a physical cause : such as disease, injury or drug side effects.

Any disorder that impairs blood flow in the penis has the potential to cause impotence. Incidence rises with age: about 5 percent of men at the age of 40 and between 15 and 25 percent of men at the age of 65 experience impotence. However, it is not an inevitable part of aging. Medical treatment using generic Levitra, generic Viagra and generic Cialis are now FDA-approved oral prescription medications for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. It is available in 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg tablets. In clinical trials in the general ED population, medications improved erections for a majority of men. A lot of men who took generic Viagra, generic Cialis and generic Levitra were satisfied the first time they used it.

The Fact is Impotence is usually treatable in all age groups and awareness of this fact has been growing. More men have been seeking help and returning to near-normal sexual activity because of improved, successful treatments for impotence. Urologists, who specialize in problems of the urinary tract, have traditionally treated impotence - especially complications of impotence.

Generic Viagra contains Sildenafil Citrate enables many men with ED to respond to sexual stimulation. When a man is sexually aroused, the arteries in the penis relax and widen, allowing more blood to flow into the penis. With more blood flowing in and less flowing out, the penis enlarges, resulting in an erection. generic Cialis Soft Tabs are a faster acting Cialis solution. A generic cialis Soft Tab is an oral lozenge, mint in flavor, containing pure Tadalafil Citrate that is placed under your tongue and dissolved. This method allows for the medicine to enter your blood stream much faster than digesting a pill. For men who need to wait 60 or 90 minutes when taking generic Cialis in a pill form, you can now experience results in 15 minutes or less when using a Soft Tab.

Take generic viagra about 15 minutes to 20 minutes before you plan to have sex. generic Viagra can help you get an erection if you are sexually excited. If you take Generic Viagra after a high-fat meal (such as fish & chips, cheeseburger or French fries), the medicine may take a little longer to start working. generic Viagra can help you get an erection when you are sexually excited.

The Best Male Enlargement Patch - Why Patches Are in and Pills Are Out

The male enlargement patch is the most modern all natural method these days and has been developed for ease of use and convenience. They are the most discreet solution that will go with you anywhere, in the home, on business or on your vocations. Read on to learn exactly how this penis enhancement system is designed to work.

Male enhancement patches are a product that men can wear without anyone asking any questions. This product is the easiest of all enlargement methods that you simply will not need to worry or ask any questions yourself! This is very unlike the majority of other enlargement methods that are more complicated for example, having to take pills at regular intervals throughout the day, working out how to attach devices to your manhood without causing any pain or injury. Getting your head around too many exercises is tiresome, although some of these exercises can be easier to understand if you follow a professional program.

The penis patch is one of the newest forms of penis enlargement on the market, and already, the results are outstanding. In comparison to the pill there appears to be quite noticeable difference in results.

By using 100% natural penis enhancement patches rather than oral pills you will experience 4 major benefits:

1. Using enlargement patches is easier than remembering to take pills several times a day. You just place the patch close to the penis. You replace the male enlargement patch every three days.

2. The problem with using pills is that your body can not absorb all of the nutrients at once and most will go right through your system. Penis enhancement patches overcome this by providing you with a sustained release throughout the day.

3. The ingredients in the patch enters the bloodstream directly through the skin. This method of delivery is different to pills where the ingredients must first through the digestive system. Thus these natural products work much faster than pills resulting in noticeable penis growth in 1-2 weeks.

4. Male enhancement patches gives permanent penis enlargement results, unlike pills, provided you do a couple of really simple enlarging exercises leading patch manufacturers recommend in addition.

These fast acting natural products have been clinically tried and tested and it is now medically proven that this effortless method can dramatically enlarge a small or average small penis. You can now actually enlarge your penile length and girth to sizes you previously thought were impossible!

Getting Rid of Vaginal Odor So You Can Enjoy Intimacy Again

As women we tend to share almost every detail of our lives with our close friends. We seem to be comfortable talking about our martial woes, the struggles we have with our weight and even issues that may pop up with our children. There is one area of our lives that we are often hesitant to confide in anyone about. Intimacy and vaginal odor is an embarrassing topic that we aren't likely to talk about with anyone. If you are a woman who is working at getting rid of vaginal odor so you can enjoy intimate time with the man in your life you may wonder what the best approach to accomplish that is. There are a few things you can try that may help you regain your freshness and self confidence.

If you know beforehand that you are going to be indulging in lovemaking you'll want to ensure that you are as clean as you can be. One of the most important things to remember about getting rid of vaginal odor is that you need to wash yourself regularly with a gentle soap. Clean the entire area carefully and try and do it as close to the time you anticipate making love as you can. If you are having dinner out first, shower before that and rest assured that just being clean will help diminish the strength of the odor.

Many women have found some solace in using feminine deodorant products. Typically these are sold in a spray form and are effective at getting rid of vaginal odor short term. After cleansing yourself you can use one of these sprays. It's important to ensure that you don't have a negative reaction to it though. It's a good idea to try it out on a day when you aren't planning on being intimate with anyone. This way if you do develop any irritation or rash it will have time to calm down and heal before you are intimate.

Panty liners are truly great inventions and are something of a must for women who are focused on getting rid of vaginal odor. The liners are designed to help absorb any excess moisture which can really help with diminishing the odor. If you have a very strong odor, try and change the liner frequently to help control the smell. Bear in mind that some of the scent will remain on your body so consider that before making love.

A very common concern for women who do have strong vaginal odor is the increased intensity of the smell after intercourse. If you are worried about this is may be worthwhile to make a quick trip to the washroom as soon as possible after love making. This will enable you to clean the area which should help to deter the stronger scent.

The New Hope for PC Patients - Celexa for Prostate Cancer

Be informed: Celexa, or its generic name Citalopram is a drug used to treat depression, being a mood elevator, a class of antidepressant called SSRI. Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor, or SSRI, works by increasing the quantity of a certain natural substance located in the brain.

Take note: Celexa is an anti-depression drug. If used outside that prescription, it is important to ask first medical judgment. Even then, it is still considered wise to get medical attention always.

The news is Celexa for prostate cancer. This antidepressant was found to treat hot flashes effectively in men undergoing hormonal therapy for prostate cancer. The October issue of the Mayo Clinic Proceedings (reference date October 11, 2004) had researchers report that:

The antidepressant (Celexa) is an effective medication that reduces the hot flashes of men who are undergoing hormone therapy for prostate cancer

The Paxil, or Paroxetine compound found in Celexa seems to be responsible for diminishing these hot flushes, the researchers have reported. During the duration of the 5 weeks of study, the 18 men who completed the therapy under close monitoring had illustrated hot flashes reduction from 6.2 to 2.5 per day. These hot flash scores, and the frequency multiplied by the severity, reduced in the same period from 10.6 to 3 per day.

So what does this mean? It means that the new label antidepressant drugs, like Celexa could be the next answer for prostate cancer problems. Treating Celexa for prostate cancer could be a viable option.

An older and more common treatment for hot flushes in prostate cancer patients was Megace, generic name Megestrol Acetate. It is a female hormone progesterone derivative, a progestogen. When prostate cancer patients are treated with hormonal theraphy, Megace is employed and most of the times used in junction with Lupron or Zoladex which produces surprisingly effective results of 90% reduction of hot flushes. But there had been isolated reports that the cancer had progressed while having Megace treatment, and it was found out that Megace could have opposite progression of the disease on some patients.

Try suggesting the Celexa for prostate problems to your physician. Celexa for prostate could be your only hope in defeating cancer. But never self-administer drugs such as Celexa (or any of those mentioned) for any reason, always seek professional help. There are dozens of things you need to know and must check before you begin using Celexa for prostate cancer treatment.

Anxiety Management With Prescription BuSpar: Don't Worry, Be Happy

We’ve all had one of those weeks: the washing machine overflows, the dog forgets his housetraining and the toddler her toilet training, the boss is going through a divorce and making everyone miserable. And you feel like you just don’t know how to handle it all.

Anxiety is, unfortunately, an inevitable part of modern life. But when anxiety prevents you from engaging in day-to-day activity or trying anything new, it may be time to see your doctor for anti-anxiety help.

What causes anxiety?

Anxiety is the feeling caused by the release of stress hormones and brain chemicals which help us fight for our lives or flee from danger. In our evolutionary past, bursts of stress hormones may have helped give us a boost when running away from large animals with big teeth! And believe it or not, in the right situation, these hormones can be a big help in day-to-day activities. Mild tension before giving a presentation can help you do your best. A burst of brain chemicals can help speed your reaction time when you see a pedestrian dashing in front of your car and can save someone’s life!

When anxiety becomes a constant companion in our lives, we may start having symptoms of anxiety when we think about anything - work, marriage, children, even going to the grocery store. The symptoms include muscle tension, sweating, nausea or “butterflies,” clammy hands, difficulty swallowing, jumpiness, stomach distress.

If these symptoms have become part of your everyday life, it may be time to talk with your doctor about an anti-anxiety medication like BuSpar.

But I’d rather be anxious than spacey!

You may remember the days where anxiety was treated with heavy-duty drugs that could tranquilize a bad-tempered elephant! But as scientists have learned more about the biology of anxiety, anxiety management has become more sophisticated, helping your mood without making you a zombie. You won’t turn into a Stepford wife. Instead, you’ll go back to reacting the way you used to, both to happy events and anxiety-provoking situations.

BuSpar works gently by affecting your feelings over the course of a few weeks. Most people begin getting relief over that time period and can start getting back to living their lives.

While you don’t have to worry about walking around in a haze, many people do feel some dizziness or drowsiness when they are first getting used to BuSpar. You may want to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until your body has adjusted to the medication.

Sounds great! Let’s head to the drug store.

Well, not just yet. BuSpar is a prescription drug, and you’ll want to check a few things out with your doctor before she gives you a prescription.

If you’re taking monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (a kind of anti-depressant) or certain other drugs, have ever had an allergic reaction to mood-altering drugs, or have severe kidney or liver damage, this may not be the right drug for you.

Lastly, alcohol can have a major impact on how your body responds to BuSpar, so you may want to skip the champagne in favor of a pancake brunch when celebrating your anxiety-free life!

Be Natural! Treating Chronic Diseases with Ayurveda

Ayurveda is perhaps the oldest system of health care in the world and originates from the Indian subcontinent.

Ayurveda is based on scientific principles of diagnosis and treatment. It differs from conventional medicine in the basic principles of investigation and assigning causes to processes rather than specific areas of physiology.

Ayurveda has been a vogue since 5000 years ago. Our Vedas have been repeated references to the efficacy of Ayurveda as a science of healthy life. The western world is now realizing the value of Ayurveda in treating Chronic diseases like Arthritis, Paralysis, Stroke, Neurological disorders etc. Even WHO has given high rating for Ayurveda system.

It differs from conventional medicine in the basic principles of investigation and assigning causes to processes rather than specific areas of physiology. The increasing awareness of herbal medicines in Western markets such as USA, UK, Canada and Japan and the technological advancements in biotech industry were two major reasons which compelled us to offer a platform like this.

The key to the success of www.AyurvedicCure.com is the quality of the ingredients they use, the way in which formulae are based on ancient Ayurvedic traditions, a careful manufacturing process and an ongoing research program for testing and evaluating new and old products.

Here are some Important Herbs and their Uses:

Ashvagandha ( Withania Somnifera), ( Winter Cherry): Traditionally, Ashwagandha has been used in many ways--as a sedative, a diuretic, a rejuvenating tonic, an anti-inflammatory agent, and as an "adaptogen" (endurance enhancer). Many Western herbalists refer to this herb as "Ayurvedic ginseng" because of its reputation for increasing energy, strength, and stamina, and for its ability to relieve stress. It is especially beneficial in stress related disorders such as arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, general debility, etc. It has also shown impressive results when used as stimulants for the immune system. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/ashwagandha.htm

Amla ( Emblica officinalis), ( Indian Goosebery): Amla contains the highest amount of Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid), Phyllembin, Phyllemblic acid, Gallic acid, Ellagic acid in natural form and Cytokin like substance identified as Zeatin, Zriboside, Z nucleotide, Tannins 30%. It is one of the strongest rejuvenatives in Indian pharmacopoeia. It contains 30 times the amount of Vitamin C found in oranges. Its antibacterial, carminative, hypoglycemic, stomachic, Hypotensive and astringent action prevents infection, helps in healing of ulcers, treatment of jaundice, dyspepsia and cough and controls hyperacidity. Alma is a good Cardio Tonic and its mild stimulant action on heart helps to control blood pressure. The use of Indian Gooseberry enhances the antidiabetic action of Karela. Phyllanthus Emblica is a very good hair tonic. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/amla.htm

Brahmi (Bacopa Monniera): Aside from increasing intellectual and cognitive function, Brahmi induces a sense of calm and peace in its users. It is unique in its ability to invigorate mental processes whilst reducing the effects of stress and nervous anxiety. This makes Brahmi extremely applicable in highly stressful work or study environments where clarity of thought is as important as being able to work under pressure. Many people have the intelligence to perform to strict standards, but lack the composure and self-confidence to reach them. Additionally, Brahmi helps soothe the restlessness and distraction that nervousness causes. Brahmi is ideal for students and workers faced with this problem. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/brahmi.htm ,

Shallaki ( Boswellia Serrata): Today its major use is as an anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, myositis, fibrositis, and osteoarthritis. Experimental and clinical usage of boswella indicates it has none of the side effects on blood pressure, heart rate of the gastric irritation and ulcers associated with many anti-inflammatory and antiarthritic drugs. Folliculitis - Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

Folliculitis is the name given to a group of skin conditions. Folliculitis is defined histologically as the presence of inflammatory cells. Folliculitis is the infection of hair follicles. This can occur anywhere on the skin or scalp. It may be superficial or deep, and it causes the formation of a pustule or inflammatory nodule surrounding the hair. The inflammation can be either limited to the superficial aspect of the follicle with primary involvement of the infundibulum or the inflammation can affect both the superficial and deep aspects. Severe cases may cause permanent hair loss and scarring, and even mild folliculitis can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. Folliculitis may arise as hairs regrow after shaving, waxing, electrolysis or plucking. Swabs taken from the pustules are sterile i.e. there is no growth of bacteria or other organisms.

It is usually caused by bacteria. Common superficial form of infectious folliculitis is known as impetigo of Bockhart or barbers itch and is caused by Staphylococcus aureus. It can also be caused by yeast and another type of fungus. Folliculitis caused by a fungus is most often seen in people who have trouble fighting infections because they have an impaired immune system. There are also forms of folliculitis which are non-infectious such as those caused by tars, oils and greases that come into contact with the skin. The lesions are seen in the bearded area, often on the upper lip near the nose, as erythematous follicular-based papules or pustules that may rupture and leave a yellow crust. The pustule is often pierced by a hair that is easily extracted from the follicle. This form of folliculitis may occur more commonly in staphylococcal nasal carriers.

Causes of Folliculitis

1. Friction from shaving.

2. Follicular trauma.

3. Excessive perspiration.

4. Occlusion.

5. Inflammatory skin conditions.

Symptoms of Folliculitis

1. Pain.

2. Erythema (inflammation and redness of the skin).

3. Edema.

4. Yellow pus-filled lesions.

5. Small pimples.

Treatment of Folliculitis

Hot tub folliculitis rarely requires treatment, although your doctor may prescribe an oral or topical medication to help relieve itching (anti-pruritic). If the patient is immunocompromised or the lesions are persistent oral ciprofloxacin may be given. Topical antibiotics, such as bacitracin with polymyxin B, may be administered. Fusidic acid is available both as a cream and as an ointment. You should apply it thinly on to the infected area 3-4 times daily.Mupirocin is available both as a cream and an ointment. You should apply it thinly on the affected area 3 times a day for up to 10 days. It may be used on all ages except for in the USA where the Bactroban nasal ointment is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Eosinophilic folliculitis therapies are effective against eosinophilic folliculitis, but topical corticosteroids are often the treatment of choice. Applying moist heat compresses to the local area helps promote vasodilation (dilation of the blood vessels) and drainage from the lesions. Keeping skin clean, dry, and free from abrasions or irritation can help prevent folliculitis. More severe cases may require treatment with isotretinoin (Accutane) for several months.

Top 4 Diabetes Medications

These days, a variety of medicines are available to treat diabetes. When individuals find themselves diagnosed with Type II diabetes, they are generally given one or more of these medications, rather than insulin. Often, multiple drugs are used, rather than just one. The purpose of the medicines is to enable the body to make more insulin on its own, thereby allowing your body to process the blood sugar it needs to eliminate without putting your blood sugar levels out of balance.

Sulfonylureas are one of the most well respected drugs used to treat diabetes. There are several different types of this medication on the market, the most popular being Glucotrol. These drugs work by increasing the amount of insulin released from the pancreas. These medicines work well in lowering blood sugar levels but also run the risk of a person developing hypoglycemia.

Hypoglycemia occurs when your blood sugar level is too low. Because of this potentially dangerous side effect, sulfonylureas are often given with other medicines, most notably Glucophage, or more commonly known as Metformin. This drug works well with Glucotrol as it reduces the amount of blood sugar in the liver while the Glucotrol increases the amount of insulin in the pancreas. Both medications must be taken prior to meals. Most people who are first diagnosed with Type II diabetes are given this combination of medicines which, when taken as directed, are effective at maintaining a healthy blood sugar level.

Another drug that is showing promise in working well with Metformin is Prandin. Prandin also lowers blood sugar levels but at a slower rate than Metformin and has shown good results in studies. Like Glucotrol, Prandin increases the amount of insulin in the body and can also cause hypoglycemia. It is very important for a patient with diabetes to work with their doctor to get the right dosage of each medication and never double a dosage or cut one in half. Prandin cannot be used in women who are pregnant or nursing children.

Many of those with Type II diabetes will find that their doctors prescribe the new medication Starlix to treat their disease. Although Starlix works in a way that's similar to Prandin, people take the same dosage over time, rather than needing to adjust the doses as they would with Prandin. This fact, plus the fact that Starlix does not put the kidneys at risk, make it an extremely popular and promising new option on the diabetes medication market.

While most medicines that treat diabetics increase insulin developed in the pancreas and decrease the sugar in the liver, newer drugs are being marketed that decrease the absorption of carbohydrates in the intestines. Precose did remarkably well in trial studies in breaking down the carbohydrates in the system, making it easier to eliminate. However, this medication has not done as well as the sulfonlureas, which are considered the best possible medicines that treat the disease at this time. However, for those who are allergic to sulfur, Precose is a good option.

A diagnosis of Type II diabetes may be frightening for an individual, but there are many different drugs available that can keep this disease at bay. It is very important, however, for a patient to be totally compliant in order for these medicines to work effectively. It may take increased dosages, lowered dosages or different combinations of medications in order to get the right balance to help you maintain a healthy blood sugar level. This is why it is so important for an individual to carefully monitor their levels throughout the day and keep a record for the physician.

You and your doctor, working together, can normalize your blood sugar levels and control your condition. To play your role in this teamwork, you must monitor your sugar and report the results, in addition to any symptoms you experience, to your doctor regularly. Doing this puts you, rather than your diabetes, in the driver's seat of your body and your life.
